ABOUT STARGAZED RECORDS

Stargazed Records is an audio visual record label based in Melbourne, Australia.

Originally developed in 2017 as a branch of Stargazed Productions, we now focus on releasing, publishing and distributing multimedia artists such as Fierce Mild, Pup Tentacle, Nothinge, Lo Vision, Dr Chicken Gristle and MC Lord Magrão.

This year, we launched an immersive 360 degree live-stream concert series, kicking off with a Dr Chicken Gristle EP launch show.

Dr Chicken Gristle

Mick Gristle, better known as his alias, Dr. Chicken Gristle, is a multi-media artist based in Melbourne. Drawing inspiration from a meat platter of different genres and sonic aesthetics, Gristle crafts material that dances across the spectrum of conventionality.

Fierce Mild

A catalyst to engaging and discovering your psyche, and contemplating deeper and darker reasoning, Fierce Mild has been described as a synthesis of David Lynch & The Drones - a group that draws from cinema, visual art and Australian history, as much as any musical influences, to craft their intricate brand of Post-Electro Cinematic Art Rock.

Snskrt

Snskrt (pronounced san-skrit) is a Melbourne based solo electronic music project. Their debut EP, “Flower”, is out now and is a beautiful combination of their original roots in meditative sound design and other more popular styles of electronic music such as trip-hop, jungle, and IDM, resulting in tracks that are sure to transport you to another place.

MC Lord Magrão

MC Lord Magrão is a BRIT Award and Mercury Music Prize nominated multi-instrumentalist, composer and producer, best known as the former guitarist of the English indie rock band Guillemots. Most recently, he composed the score for award winning short film Boris in the Forest.

Wybie

Wybie, a Melbourne based musician, has a unique style of music, expressing himself through art-folk. His latest release, Wybie’s Mansion came out December 2020 and written and recorded during the coronavirus lockdown. It was recorded both remotely and in an old ammunition factory.

Kaschalot

Kaschalot is a blend of the different tastes of all four musicians, from melancholy to kick-ass riffs. Based in Estonia, Kaschalot just do what they love. The band have an incredible live music presence, having played shows in many countries such as Lithuania, Estonia and Latvia.
